Maguindanao Pearls

A short but meaningful story, “Maguindanao Pearls” shows us how people of Maguindanao and Filipinos truly respect and value their culture and laws to the extent of sacrificing their own family.
It emphasizes on how two typical Filipino women were bounded by their customs and traditions.
It also highlighted the love of Filipinos for their families.
It is beyond doubt, a beautiful story about a lady who comes from a rich family who is obsessed by love and a simple village girl both falling in love with the same man.
Lakambini, daughter of the rajah, was determined to capture the heart of the son of the chief of Pasigan, Walang Gulat. There was nothing wrong in falling in love but it was immoral of her to separate Walang Gulat and Sinag-Tala who were madly in love with each other. She did not think about the consequences of her actions and even led to great misfortune, Sinag-Tala dying in her arms as she begs for forgiveness.
Maguindanao pearls is about the precious pearls itself.

Maguindanao Pearls is one of the most famous story and in my research there may be a possibility it is true. In the story there are a lot of mischief’s and drama. When I first heard about the story I was impress and I was questioning if there is a possibility it is true or it happened before I was here. I began on my research and a lot came out, the story was mixed and some of the clips and events of the story wasn’t real. I have researched different events that happened in mindanao and researched about the perls.

Shariff Mohammed Kabungsuwan of Johore introduced Islam in the area at the end of the 15th century. He subsequently married a local princess from the Maranao Tribe of Malabang and Maguindanao Province, and established the Sultanate of Maguindanao. The Cotabato Valley formed the sultanate's heartland but its influence extended from the Zamboanga Peninsula to Sarangani Bay and Davao.
The Spaniards launched expeditions to subdue the area throughout the colonial era but they never gained control of the region until the middle of the 19th century after the Spaniards established a military post at what is now Barangay Tamontaka, one of the earliest Christian settlements founded south of the Philippines, in present-day Cotabato City. Spaniards already took with them Chabacanos and Chabacano-speaking Muslims from Zamboanga and Basilan and Cebuanos. Chabacanos being brought by Spaniards are the reason of existing Chabacano dialect in Cotabato City called CotabateƱo, evolved from ZamboangueƱo. From 1663 to 1718, Maguindanao influence extended as far as Zamboanga in the west, Cagayan de Oro in the north, Sarangani in the south, and Davao in the east. In 1719, the Spaniards reestablished control with the building of the strategic Fort Pilar in Zamboanga (Miravite 1976:40; Angeles 1974:28; Darangen 1980:42-45).

In my research there has no proof that the story "Maguidanao Pearls" is real because what I research is about the past life of the maguindanao people. I open a bunch of links but I have no clue about the story maguindanao pearls since its mostly about the summary of the story. What I have researched is about the past generation in mindanao if the story and the past generation did or have done the things said in the book. In my opinion there may be a posibility some on the happenings in the book may happen in the past but doesnt have any proof yet in happened.
